Prof. Roy Fung joined Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials (FUNSOM) of Soochow University as a full professor in 2014. Later in 2016, he joined Institute of Organic Optoelectronics (IOO), a commercialization platform of FUNSOM, as the head of R&D. 

Prof. Fung has over 20 years of fundamental research and industrial research experiences on OLED technologies such as OLED display, OLED lighting, flexible OLED, silicon-based OLED micro-display, thin film encapsulation technology, thin film coating, device physics, surface and interface engineering, etc. 

He published over 130 peer-reviewed SCI papers and 3 book chapters with more than 5000 citations and H-index of 37 (Scopus) / 41 (GS), filed over 50 patents (with 26 patents granted), delivered more than 20 invited talks and lectures in international conferences and workshops, worked as a PI or key co-investigator of over 20 projects related to organic electronics and nanotechnology.
